Nursery Web  Spider with Egg Sack

I saw this nursery web spider with its egg sack on one of our azaleas on June 5, 2003. It posed for a picture.  Soon, the baby spiders will bore a small hole in the sack and climb out into the nursery, which is a curled up leaf that the mother spider covered with silk. They will live in the nursery for several days until they are big enough to crawl away on their own. This spider felt vibrations and came out to investigate.
