Saddleback Caterpillar
I found this strange caterpillar attached to a plant in my yard on 3 October 2004. It's a saddleback caterpillar (Sibine stimulea). The spikes can cause skin irritation. See also http://woodypest.ifas.ufl.edu/1008.htm
